This artwork represents the characteristic of being ‘forgiving’.

Forgiving, even as adults can be extremely difficult. As I reflect on my own life, I have moments when I have found things hard to forgive.

This artwork reflects my four children and their ability to forgive each other. As they grow and learn, as they get cross at each other for eating the last piece of cake, as they accidentally break something that belongs to their brother or sister. This work is about teaching mutual care and respect, and understanding that not everyone is perfect, and everyone makes mistakes.

This artwork is part of the ‘Yindyamarra’ release. It was painted intuitively, reflecting upon my role as a mother and the characteristics I hope to pass onto my children, instilling a range of values and behaviours that will set them in good stead for now and the future.
