This artwork represents the accumulation of soils, rock, debris that Mother Earth holds. The heavy rock sitting at the bottom of the work. The layer upon layer of Earth as the winds blow and the dust settles on Country.

Dhugay also represents the knowledge Mother Earth holds and the experiences lived upon her- knowing how people use her and responding to this.

Above the layers is a collection of Coolamon- the women’s tool, and one of many connections I hold to my culture. These have been used within this piece to represent the way my people used Mother Earth to support their living, but also how was harmonious and in respect of all that nature provided.
